Probes the entire local subnet concurrently in under 150ms to discover Link hardware on any DHCP address.
Zero Config
Auto-Connect Engine
Remembers your standalone ECUs and automatically attaches them when your laptop connects to the vehicle.
FTDI Latency Fix
Integrated Workaround
Built-in instructions and automated COM port registry checks for optimal 1ms datalogging throughput.
Installation & Setup
- Download the Installer: Grab the latest signed installer from the Downloads Hub (available for both 64-bit Intel/AMD and ARM64 Windows).
- Run the Setup Wizard: Click through the NSIS installer. It registers the virtual USB host controller service in Windows.
- Launch the App: The application launches directly into your system tray. The tray icon shows green when connected and grey when disconnected.
Understanding the Device Tree
When you open the app window, you will see the detected USB devices connected to the Link:
Tracktuned Link (192.168.1.123:3240)
ConnectedPort 1-1
FTDI FT232R USB UART (COM3)
Haltech Elite / Nexus Interface · VID 0403 / PID 6001
How Virtual COM Port Attachment Works
When you click Use (or when Auto-Connect triggers):
- The desktop client establishes an encrypted TCP tunnel to port 3240 on the Link.
- The Windows virtual USB bus driver maps the ECU's USB descriptors directly into the Windows PnP tree.
- Windows loads the native manufacturer FTDI / CP2102 driver and assigns a COM port (e.g.
COM3). - Your tuning software connects with zero driver modifications or latency penalties.
App Options & Diagnostics Panel
Click the gear icon in the top right to access the Options panel:
- Device IP Address: Displays the dynamically discovered IP (e.g.
192.168.1.123) or allows manual static IP assignment if running across custom enterprise VPNs. - Live Link Heartbeat: Real-time latency graph showing wireless ping jitter between your laptop and the car.
- Firmware Check: Compares your on-device firmware with Cloudflare R2 and offers single-click OTA updates.
